Lips: Microsoft and Elite Beat Agents developer iNiS take on SingStar

Lips is a karaoke game for the Xbox 360 developed by iNiS, developer of DS music game Elite Beat Agents. Details are scarce due to the game only just being unveiled at E3, but read on for everything we know about the game so far.

Lips allows you to sing over (DRM-free) music from your iPod or Zune, either Rock Band-style with the singer present in the mix or using voice reduction technology to remove most of the vocals.

The game will come bundled with two microphones - one black, one white - and they’re motion-sensitive, meaning you’ll have to perform poses at particular points in a song. This also allows a second player to grab a mic and shake it to immediately join in and start singing.

Unlike a majority of music games, all the tracks on the disc are available for play without unlocking them. So far, the confirmed tracks are Duffy “Mercy”, Peter Bjorn and John “Young Folks” and wait for it…Young MC “Bust a Move”.
