Sick of visitors whining about the Rock Band guitar not being as good as the Guitar Hero guitars? Here's a solution that'll shut them up - gut an old PS2 Guitar Hero guitar and create a hybrid.

Peak Products today announced the Starpex guitar controller for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. The Starpex is fully compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero III, and the boasts a full-size hardwood body, neck and headstock for an authentic look and feel.

An Activision rep recently told MTV that a recent title update for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has sorted the issues some gamers were having with guitar compatibility. The game will now work with non-Guitar Hero guitars, including the Rock Band guitar.
